See How DaySpring School of the Arts is Molding Young Lives!

Let’s face it – art makes the world a better place. Gazing at a gorgeous painting or taking in an intricate drawing can evoke an array of emotions within us. Creating art, whether it’s adding the perfect hues to a coloring book or singing in the chorus of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, can give us fulfillment, boost our moods, and even reduce stress. We at WIN Warehouse are fans of art, so you can only imagine our delight when DaySpring School of the Arts became WIN members in February 2015! Take a look at the colorful world of DaySpring School of the Arts, our featured nonprofit for this month!

Located in Maryland Heights, this independent nonprofit began in September 1993 with a small group of local artists who wanted to give children a better start in the arts. They only had 30 students in the beginning, but the organization grew rapidly and now proudly serves nearly 800 students of all ages through an array of programs including art, dance, music, performance arts, homeschool enrichment, and the Academy.

An accredited university modeling school system, DaySpring School of the Arts bridges the gaps of homeschooling by placing an emphasis on the importance of home and school life collaboration. They serve kindergarteners through students in the 12th grade in the Academy and smaller children ages 3 through 5 with their Creative Arts Preschool. The school also reaches out to the community at large, serving as instructors and performers in museums, hospitals, libraries, and parks in underserved communities, as well as in their own building.

Since becoming a WIN Warehouse member, DaySpring has received several necessities, including vacuums, entrance mats, stacking chairs and folding tables (which we had the honor of experiencing at their Disney trivia night!), box lockers, and water coolers. We’ll never forget their very first order, which included nearly 90 lighting fixtures to outfit their new facility in 2015 (which is crucial when it comes to art!). We are proud to say that we’ve already helped this wonderful non-profit save more than $14,000 this year, and all that money has gone right back into their mission.
