Bible Impact Ministries Promotes Spiritual Growth and Leadership

When are nonprofits able to make an impact? Well to start, the word “impact” means to have a strong effect on someone or something. That explains why nonprofits are constantly working for people and their communities. They even make an impact when it’s simply for one person.

WIN is proud to work with all kinds of nonprofits like Bible Impact Ministries, who has their own story to share:

Bible Impact Ministries is a nonprofit mission organization that is responsible for all the activities at Whispering Winds Bible Camp as well as the scripture memory and club programs, rallies and retreats. Their mission is to glorify God by presenting Christ through the Word of God to call people to salvation, spiritual growth, service, and leadership.

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Whispering Winds Bible Camp houses campers – many of which receive scholarships to attend. Activities are limitless including challenge courses, frisbee golf, canoeing, and, of course, campfires. During the off-season, the staff raises missionary support by visiting churches. They also accomplish many building projects including construction in their own space.

During Bible Impact Ministries’ first year with WIN, they have saved a little over $26,000, which really put our slogan, “Save More, Serve More,” to good use. Their camp has received an array of items from fire extinguishers to appliances, as well as tools such as plasma cutters and saw blades. Pallets of water and sports drinks have helped keep campers hydrated while a recent order of 150 chairs will help bring their new chapel together.

One of the first donations they’ve received was a rolling ladder, which they’ve cleverly turned into part of their ziplining course.
