6 Nonprofit Discounts You Should Be Using

Most nonprofits don’t have the luxury of big budgets. The majority of nonprofit leaders are in a constant battle to get more donors and bigger donations so that they can then do the important work they set out to do. And all nonprofits — regardless of size — have to be transparent and prove they are spending donated funds wisely.

Seeking out discounts for nonprofits is one of the best ways to be financially responsible and ensure you can do more with the budget you have. At WIN Warehouse, we work hard to ensure our nonprofit partners are saving as much as they can, but the supplies we carry only represent a portion of the kinds of things nonprofits must spend their money on to be effective. So, we put together a list of organizations offering discounts to nonprofits so that amazing people like you can spend less and do more.

1. Get a huge variety of supplies and equipment at up to 90% off retail value with WIN Warehouse

For the record, this isn’t a ranked list. We’re starting with ourselves because WIN is the organization we can tell you the most about.

How it Works: Nonprofit organizations can become members of WIN Warehouse for FREE. There is an optional paid tier, but free members will always have access to our product catalog. Once you are signed up, you can use the online catalog to search for items that will be useful to your nonprofit — usually 75-90% off retail value. Some of our product categories include:

  • Cleaning supplies and paper products
  • Material handling equipment
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Child and Baby care
  • And more!

2. Get 50% off task & workflow management software with Asana

Nonprofits have a never-ending list of things to do and limited manpower to do them. Asana is a great tool to make sure everything gets done on time and nothing slips through the cracks of your busy schedule.

How it works

When you apply to Asana through their nonprofit portal, you will be eligible to get their full suite of services at half the standard monthly pricing. This discount never expires — you don’t have to worry about renewing in a year. The best part? Asana has a full-service team just dedicated to serving nonprofits. That includes free access to expert Asana Advisors and a special onboarding program just for nonprofits.

3. Design graphics for free with Canva Premium

From social media, to your website, to physical handouts, nonprofits have to create a ton of creative content and imagery. For a long time, Canva has been fantastic for designers and non-designers alike, with their free version being a much more user-friendly tool than Photoshop.

How it Works

Canva’s best features, like the ability to create Brand Kits and use the best built-in images, are locked behind a paid Premium subscription — a subscription that has been made completely free for nonprofits. With 420,000+ templates, 100GB of storage, and the ability to resize any images into multiple formats with a click, Canva Premium can help your team make beautiful graphics easier than ever before.

How it Works

HootGiving is a special program within HootSuite that lets nonprofits access all of their social media tools up to 75% off the standard Business subscription rate. 5. Get free email, collaboration tools, advertising & more with Google

That’s right. Google makes several of its business productivity and advertising tools available to  eligible nonprofits, completely free.

How it Works:

Request a Google for Nonprofits account and, once approved, you can access many of the platform’s productivity and advertising tools completely free. This includes:

  • Free Gmail accounts at your nonprofit’s branded domain
  • Additional fundraising tools for YouTube videos
  • Creator Academy videos specifically for nonprofits
  • $10,000 of in-kind advertising each month for search ads
  • Tools to use Google Maps to show your impact in specific areas

6. See how effective your website is and conduct surveys with a free Hotjar account.

It’s important to have a website that looks good — but is it effective? Hotjar’s analytics software lets you use tools like heatmaps, surveys, and even 1:1 user interviews to make sure you aren’t losing donors because of a flawed website.

How it Works

If you collect donations online then Hotjar can be an invaluable tool for your nonprofit. Using heatmaps, you can see where people are scrolling, clicking, and hovering on your website. You may be surprised how many people miss your Donate button because it’s too far down the page. You can also use it to survey the people visiting your website to see how they like it and if they are finding everything they need. A website that converts just a slightly higher percentage of visitors into donors can be a game changer.

We hope this has been helpful!

There are many more discounts out there for nonprofits, but these should save your organization a lot of money on the things you need most and use most often. We love nonprofits and we love seeing the impact you make in the world. From our team to yours, thank you and keep going!
