WIN Product Spotlight: Refrigerators

At WIN Warehouse, we understand the unique challenges nonprofit organizations face, especially when it comes to outfitting their facilities on a tight budget. As a nonprofit ourselves, we have made it our responsibility to provide our nonprofit members with products that let them save money and help their communities at the same time.

Corporations donate excess inventory to us, thereby saving big on taxes and warehouse space. Then nonprofits save money on resources, allowing them to do more good.

A reliable refrigerator is one essential appliance that makes a significant difference.

WIN’s Refrigerators

Whether you’re storing perishable items like meat and fish, chopped fruits and vegetables, dairy products like milk and cheese, or even medications, proper refrigeration is key. Refrigerators maintain the integrity and safety of these items, preserving their freshness and ensuring they remain usable for as long as possible.

We carry several refrigerators to meet these needs. They’re energy-efficient and quiet, are scratch-resistant, and come with shelves to keep items organized. The full-sized versions are usually showroom-only items, so we encourage our members to stop by our warehouse to check them out or give us a call at (314) 385-3006!

WIN’s Nonprofit Members

When deciding which nonprofit members to feature, these three immediately came to mind.

Feed My Sheep Helping Hand Ministry

In 2019, Cedric Jackson and Jackie Poke took steps to address the urgent need for food and clothing among Saint Louis’s unhoused population. To expand their reach, they soon acquired a mobile unit, making it easier to bring much-needed resources to people around the city and surrounding areas. Their efforts led to the official establishment of Feed My Sheep Helping Hand Ministry as a nonprofit in 2022.

As a WIN member, they’ve obtained mini refrigerators, units instrumental in allowing them to stock and preserve a variety of food items.

Mission Gate Ministry

Rick and Trish Mathes partnered with Senator Jim Talent and his wife, Brenda, to establish Mission Gate Ministry in 1985. Mission Gate Ministry is an in-prison ministry and a residential aftercare program for people recently released from prison, jail, or a rehabilitation facility. Along with an initial food supply, they provide clean and safe housing, bedding, clothing, hygiene products, and identification.

Recently, the nonprofit acquired two nearly full-sized refrigerators from WIN Warehouse to equip cabins in their men’s living facilities. This addition has enhanced their capacity to provide residents with a comfortable and supportive environment.

Equity Homes

Nonprofit organization Equity Homes, founded in 2019, helps turn the dream of owning a home into a reality. Through the generous support of donors, they are able to build equity for individuals and families in the Normandy Schools Collective footprint. They do so by providing financial support for the development and construction of affordable, high-quality single-family homes.

Equity Homes offers community members an opportunity to own affordable, fully renovated homes that feel like new and are move-in ready, complete with common household appliances. As a nonprofit member of WIN Warehouse, they have acquired the resources they need, including full-size refrigerators.
