At WIN Warehouse, we’re always proud to support the nonprofits and community partners who strengthen St. Louis in ways big and small. Today, we’re excited to spotlight one such partner: the nonprofit St. Louis Hero Network. Our ongoing partnership means we get to play a role in making sure first responders have the tools and support they need to do their work effectively.
Their Mission
Founded in 2018, St. Louis Hero Network is an organization that supports local first responders and military families by promoting their businesses and connecting them with their community. Anyone can use their website to locate classes, events, and first responder jobs, and hire a hero.
Hiring within the network is an opportunity to honor the dedication and service of police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and more. There are many hiring options, from appliance repair and carpentry to photography and web design.
St. Louis Hero Network also works with other entities and nonprofits that share its mission through volunteering time, promoting events, and donating funds.
WIN Warehouse’s Impact
Since becoming a WIN member in 2019, they have saved thousands of dollars on high-quality items that support their work.
They stop by our showroom regularly, often weekly. Some of the items they’ve picked up include:
- air compressors
- chest coolers
- cleaning supplies
- desk chairs
- fire extinguishers
- first aid kits
- gloves
- hand tools and power tools
- ladders
- padlocks
- safety glasses
- storage trunks
- tarps
They also supply firehouses with plasticware, space heaters, fans, toilet paper, and other items they need to run smoothly.
In the summer, when WIN Warehouse receives pallets of Gatorade or water, St. Louis Hero Network is one of the first organizations we call to help keep firefighters hydrated during long, hot days on duty. And they never leave empty-handed during our Tools by the Pound events.
