Grapevine Faith Christian School, located in Grapevine, Texas, is a private Christian school serving an average of 785 students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. In Spring 2017, Andy Beene, director of facilities at Grapevine Faith Christian School, needed several items for the maintenance and facilities department. As an example, Beene needed to either replace or repair a floor scrubber at the high school, but it would cost thousands of dollars and Beene was working with a very tight janitorial budget.
Solution
Beene was referred to WIN Warehouse by Dr. Ed Smith Jr., the president of Grapevine Faith Christian School. Dr. Smith, a member of the Christian Leadership Alliance, had recently returned from a CLA conference in Dallas where he met Tony DiFranco, program director of WIN Warehouse. He suggested that Beene look into WIN as a possible resource. Beene worked together with the school’s accounting department to set up a membership with WIN. Beene made his first order for the school in July 2017.
Results
Grapevine Faith Christian School’s membership with WIN Warehouse has allowed Beene to replace outdated and broken maintenance equipment including the high school’s floor scrubber. The athletic department benefited from the school’s membership as well by receiving large, commercial fans to use on the football field and for outdoor camps at a 75 percent savings.
“WIN offers huge savings compared to your traditional department store,” says Beene. “We are very pleased with the products! They are brand new and of great quality.”
Beene visits the WIN website two to three times a month to see what is available to fit their needs. He has found a wide-range of products including a commercial ice machine, picnic tables and air compressors. Beene also credits WIN Warehouse for helping the maintenance team work more efficiently.
“It’s important for our department to be on top of maintaining the schools,” says Beene. “We’re now able to reduce the amount of man hours dedicated to cleaning the facility due to the new equipment.”
Grapevine Faith Christian School has developed a successful relationship with WIN Warehouse. The school has been able to upgrade equipment that they wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise. Additionally, the school secured products from WIN for the remodel of one of the science rooms.
