In this member success story, we’re highlighting Equity Homes, a St. Louis-based organization committed to expanding access to homeownership. We’re very proud to partner with their team to strengthen neighborhoods and create pathways to generational wealth.
Their Mission
Nonprofit organization Equity Homes, founded in 2019, helps turn the dream of owning a home into a reality. Through the generous support of donors, they are able to build equity for individuals and families in the Normandy Schools Collective footprint. They do so by providing financial support for the development and construction of affordable, high-quality single-family homes.
Equity Homes offers community members an opportunity to own affordable, fully renovated homes that feel like new and are move-in ready. As a nonprofit member of WIN Warehouse, they have acquired the resources they need.

With WIN, Equity Homes has been able to support construction efforts, equip its team, and respond to unexpected challenges.
Outfitting Construction Sites
Construction is hands-on, resource-intensive work, and having the right tools matters. Over the years, Equity Homes has sourced a wide range of equipment from WIN Warehouse to support its construction sites, including creepers, crossover truck boxes, drill presses, pressure washers, hammers, spring clamps, sledge hammers, and wheelbarrow mixers, to name a few.
Beyond tools, WIN has also helped Equity Homes access essential materials and appliances for the homes themselves. Light fixtures, faucets, refrigerators, and furniture obtained through WIN have gone directly into newly built homes, helping families move into spaces that are functional, comfortable, and complete.
Supporting the Crew Behind the Work
The Equity Homes team is a familiar and valued presence at WIN.
Construction Foreman Harry Williams has been coming into the showroom for years to pick up cleaning supplies, steel-toe work boots, and hand tools to keep his crew safe, equipped, and moving forward on job sites.
Vice President Jacqui Davis has also worked closely with WIN to source cleaning liquids, tools, and safety glasses for the construction crew, as well as practical items for their office, such as dry-erase boards, desk chairs, coffee grinders, and brewers.
As a result, WIN’s inventory has supported Equity Homes across its day-to-day operations.
Showing Up When It Mattered Most
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Equity Homes turned to WIN for critical support. Jacqui coordinated with the WIN team to pick up hundreds of masks so construction crews could continue working safely for the community.
In recognition of the urgency and importance of this work, WIN waived the handling fees on the PPE (personal protective equipment), ensuring access to vital safety equipment at a moment when it was desperately needed.
