WIN Warehouse and Men’s Wearhouse Encourage St. Louis Area Residents to Donate Gently Used Professional Attire to Benefit Unemployed Americans in Need
LOUIS, MO (June 27th, 2017) – WIN Warehouse, a public charity the connects nonprofit organizations with corporate excess inventory, is partnering with Men’s Wearhouse to launch its 10th annual National Suit Drive, a month-long initiative that collects gently-used professional clothing for Americans transitioning back into the workforce. Throughout the month of July donations collected at Men’s Wearhouse stores will be distributed to WIN Warehouse and over 170 local non-profit organizations across the country that help disadvantaged individuals regain employment through job readiness programs and workforce assistance. Over the past nine years, the National Suit Drive has collected more than 1.3 million items of professional clothing.
“We are grateful to be a continued partner of the annual suit drive,” said Tony DiFranco, program director of WIN Warehouse. “We are able to support St. Louis’ nonprofit organizations that offer programs which help both men and women to get back on their feet and find gainful employment.”
Starting July 1, residents of the Greater St. Louis area can donate their gently-used professional clothing, including men’s and women’s suits, ties, jackets, shirts, pants, belts and shoes at St. Louis area Men’s Wearhouse locations. As a thank you, donors will receive 50 percent off their next purchase of regular priced retail items (excluding shoes, clearance and Exceptional Value items).
WIN Warehouse will collect the donated clothing and distribute it to local service charities such as St. Patrick Center, Fathers’ Support Center of St. Louis, and Employment Connection. WIN receives hundreds of donated suits each year.
“In a job interview, confidence can be the deciding factor that helps land you the job,” said Doug Ewert, CEO of Tailored Brands, Inc. “Putting on a suit gives you that confidence to make a great first impression, and the National Suit Drive provides men the opportunity to look and feel their best as they take the next step in their career. In our tenth year, we’re hopeful to collect more donations than ever before.”
