Their Mission
Kids Against Hunger is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing fully nutritious, vitamin-fortified meals to impoverished children and families worldwide and within local communities. The organization’s goal is for the meals to provide a stable nutritional base from which recipient families can move from starvation or food insecurity to self-sufficiency.
At the heart of their work are the volunteers who package the food. This hands-on process not only increases access to food but builds awareness, connection, and empathy within the community. Volunteers ages 8 to 80 can contribute, and they can come from all walks of life and society, from schools and churches to scouting troops and civic clubs.
The distribution of those meals goes to 70 countries through partnerships with humanitarian organizations worldwide.
