Lake Williamson Christian Center, located in Carlinville, Ill., is the greater St. Louis region retreat center for the Christian Retreats Network. The center’s 400-acre campus includes lodging, meeting spaces, dining rooms and auditoriums that serve an average of 40,000 visitors per year. Also, Lake Williamson Christian Center features year-round recreation and accommodations for up to 1,350 overnight guests. Non-profit and religious organizations utilize Lake Williamson Christian Center to hold conferences, retreats, youth camps and more.
In need of custodial equipment, janitorial supplies, and tools, and with a limited budget, Kenny Lewis, property manager at Lake Williamson Christian Center reached, out to WIN Warehouse for assistance.
Through a long-standing relationship with Tony DiFranco, program director at WIN Warehouse, Beth Mahkovtz, human resources administer at Lake Williamson Christian Center knew that WIN was a perfect match to help supply the resources they needed to deliver outstanding services to their guests. Lewis submitted their first order for the center in 2015.
Lake Williamson Christian Center’s membership with WIN Warehouse has allowed the organization to receive equipment and supplies to continue to provide exceptional hospitality services to incoming groups across the region. Lewis has been able to order products at a significantly reduced cost including steam cleaners, vacuums, mops and buckets.
“As a non-profit, our budget is limited, so WIN has been a tremendous help in keeping our facilities stocked and ready to serve our guests,” says Mahkovtz. “WIN provides for us so that we can provide for others.”
In addition to janitorial supplies and equipment, the center also needed refrigerators for each of their meeting rooms. Many of the groups that come through have guests who require immediate access to a refrigerator to store medicine such as insulin. Through WIN’s services, the center has been able to receive several refrigerators at a 65 to 90 percent savings.
“I am thrilled with WIN and all of the resources they have available for the center,” says Lewis. “I always check WIN first whenever we need supplies or equipment. The turn-around time on our orders is quick, typically ready for pickup in just one to two days.”
“Tony and WIN always go above and beyond for us,” says Mahkovtz. “Tony has developed a great relationship with his staff, and it carries over in the way they treat their nonprofit members.”
